About this Recipe
Sometimes I wish we could just eat out or get dinner delivered like we did before kids. But this is just our normal now. And yeah it sucks, but then sometimes you figure out a recipe that you’ve been struggling with for years and realise that you’re actually not missing out on anything – except maybe convenience.
The gluten free pizza dough has been one I’ve been struggling with since learning Lexi’s restrictions because 1. legumes are now the go-to gluten free option, and 2. soy is in absolutely everything! Why?
This recipe however, is free from both of those things, as well as dairy, egg, wheat, coconut and treenuts.
Method
Ingredients
- 2 cups plain GF flour
- 1 cup self raising GF flour
- 1tsp baking powder
- 1tsp sugar
- 1/4tsp salt
- 2tsp dry yeast
- 3tbls olive oil
- warm water
- In a stand mixer, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
- Then add the yeast and olive oil.
- Pour in warm water a little at a time until it forms a thick dough.
- Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth then press out into pizza tray.
- Let rest for half hour (or longer if you want a thicker crust) at 40°C before adding toppings.
- Bake at 220°C (pizza setting if you have it) for about 25minutes.
